Chemical Peels
Chemical peelshelp reduce pigmentation issues such as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, sun spots and melasma. They also help improve acne, fine lines, wrinkles, skin tone and texture. The recommended type and strength of a chemical peel is determined by the amount of correction needed.

Reveal Glycolic Tx [30%]
- exfoliates the skin and increases surface circulation
- smoothes and rejuvenates the skin
- visibly improves signs of photodamage
- improves uneven skin pigmentation and moderate wrinkling
- improves mild to severe acne and acne scarring
- can be repeated every 4 – 6 weeks

The peel process takes about 30 minutes. After the patient washs their face, a solution of isopropyl alcohol and acetone is used to prep the skin and remove any excess oil. Ointment is placed around the eyes, nasal ala and on the lips. Splash goggles are placed over the eyes for protection. A cotton ball is placed in each ear, and the neck and sides of the face are draped with a towel. Using a guaze, the peel solution is applied to the skin. The SkinMedica® peels self-neutralize. The NEOVA® Reveal Glycolic Tx [30%] peel has to be neutralized with NEOVA® Green Tea Neutralizing Gel. Once the peel process is finished, a moisturizer and sunscreen are applied.

Peeling usually starts within a couple of days and lasts for several days. During the peeling process, you will need to use a gentle cleanser, a moisturizer and a broad spectrum sunscreen to protect your investment. When the peeling process is finished, you can return to your normal skin care regimen.
